Monday weihg-in!

Just did my weigh-in and I lost 3.2 lbs this week bringing my total lost to 30.6 lbs!!!!

Did something that I have NEVER done before!

When I do crafts I get a serious case of the munchies!!  I have been known to wipe an entire kitchen out of it's snack stock HAHA!!

April is Autism Awareness Month and since my boys were diagnosed at 4, I always try to do something to show support and awareness for my guys!  Yesterday I decided to try my hands at an Autism Awareness Ribbon Wreath!  It came out GORGEOUS and for the first time EVER, I ate not a single solitary piece of food while making it...which I am most proud of!

Happy 1st Day Of Spring!!

Happy 1st Day Of Spring my Friends!!!!  Ok so about 1/4 of the year is gone already.  How are you doing with your weight loss/eating healthy journey??  Take some time today to sit, relax with a cup of coffee or tea and just reflect on all the good that has been going on in your life.  You'd be surprised how much good there really is in your life if you just make the effort to look for it!!

So far it's been a very good year....NOT GREAT but very good none the less!!

Boys are honor students and are still maintaining their PERFECT attendance.  I am SO PROUD of my guys for making it to Spring Break with ZERO absences!!  :D  If the sun is blinding you today please know that it's just PITA shining down because he is so proud of his guys!!

We are working our rough patches out as a family TOGETHER.  The angry outbursts were completely out of control and it's no one's fault but MINE!!  My kids are 8 years old and if I'm modeling it, they are repeating it.  I take 100% full responsibility for THEIR behaviors.  SO....We have our pencil posted and we are taking baby steps toward being united as 1 once again.  Being devided wasn't working for us!!  Every relationship needs a hero....I may as well step up and be it for MY kids!!  Those boys are FAR too important to me to pass them off to the streets!!  I want my loving happy go lucky little boys (espically Michael) back!  We had a better week last week and I hope we have an even better on this week!!  Fingers crossed

I am in the process of planning our summer vacation.  It will be either a 4 day or a 1 week get away with just me and my boys.  I'm hoping I can swing the whole week!!

I may be starting a new job that would be PERFECT for my MOM schedule as early as May!!!

I've lost 27.4 lbs since January 7th and I am feeling AMAZINGLY healthy for the first time in SO LONG.  I finally feel like I'm getting my groove back!  My internal numbers are good and it's showing.  Everyone can see the differences in me and even I can spot it here and there!  :D

I am loving my "Good Things" Jar.  It really does help me keep focus of all the positive in life no matter how small it may be!!  I think we need a new jar soon...LOL

How is your internal health?

Have you had a complete physical recently and if so do you know your BMI, blood pressure, sugar and cholesterol numbers?

If you are a female, have you had your yearly GYN exam and Mammogram (40 y/o+)

I think one of the best ways to feel really good about yourself even if the scale crept up a bit is to know that everything inside is good.   Sometimes just knowing that if something comes back abnormal or out of range, it can be treated is good too.  Knowledge is power!

Get your numbers checked and know them!  Make yourself feel GREAT from the inside out!!  Get the power with the knowledge that you are taking care of ALL OF YOU!!!!

The importance of eating breakfast

Do you eat breakfast everyday??  I hope you do!  Our Mom's were 100% right on this one, it really is the most important meal of the day!  There are so many health benefits to eating a balanced breakfast each day.
 
For breakfast today I had a Dannon Light & Fit Peach Yogurt, a serving of Fiber One 80 Chocolate Cereal, a banana and coffee.

New Product Review


Anyone ever heard of PB2???
 
Well a friend recommended it to me and I ordered it to give it a try.  Now IMHO it DOES NOT taste exactly like peanut butter but it was very good none the less.
 
For breakfast I slathered it on my whole grain English muffin with sliced bananas and it was super yummy this morning!
 
 
I think I am going to try the chocolate tomorrow!!

Scale hopping!

This is the one thing I miss about going to Weight Watchers meetings.  When I was attending meetings, I didn't have a scale....didn't even OWN one!  Now that I use the mobile app, I have to have a scale but now my problem is, I am forever hopping on it to "check" my weight.  It's more like TORTURE myself with the number!!  HAHA

The flip side to the torture is I know about fluid fluctuations and shifts as well as it keeps me on track!

I guess it's all in the way you look at it.

Monday weigh-in!

Ok so it's unofficially, officially, unofficially, OFFICIAL that I gained this past week! Got on and off the scale 5 times in 5 minutes and each time I did that, I got a different read out LMFAO!! Gotta love momentary water flux's!!! I just laugh when that happens. So I'm going with the .02 lb gain! I don't see this as a setback at all but rather ammunition to work a bit harder this week. So I say OFFICIALLY I'm holding steady at 24 lbs GONE!!!!

My pants are still are TOO BIG!! I tried on two size 18 dresses and they both fit. They're snug but at least they fit and they are not so tight that I can't breath!! I still feel awesome and I'm moving forward!!!!!!!

Happy Sunday....

Boy am I SORE!!! My legs are killing me today. I walked over 7 3/4 miles yesterday total clocking in a little more then an hour of aerobic walking. Today I am going to take some Advil, do the laundry and give my body a rest!!

I'm 45 and sometimes I really hate getting old!! One of the reasons besides weight loss that I get daily activity in is "a body in motion stays in motion!" I do not w...
ant to be the fat, frumpy, and 50 year old that can't get off the couch because everything hurts so bad I can barely breath! I want to stay active and agile even into my 80's!!!! No matter how much we desire to move like we're in our 20's, our body is constantly reminding us of our age! I wasn't even this sore 10 years ago at 35 when I was walking approx. 10 miles per day!

I think I am starting to come down with something. Woke up yesterday and today feeling that "you're getting sick" tickle in the back of my throat. It went away yesterday and that's what I'm hoping for today!
 
This will definitely be me today....
